The Church where Everybody is Somebody in Jesus Christ

Dr. Roy Turner Dalton was born in Eden, North   Carolina on October 22, 1963.  He is the son of the late Loyce Willie Dalton and the late Annie Bell Dalton.  Dr. Dalton comes from a family that is very large, to say the least.  With 23 sisters and brothers and all of them by the same parents, there was never a dull moment.  It was revealed to Dr. Dalton at an early age that he would preach.  While suffering with a chronic disease called  asthma all night, God not only healed him of the disease, but he was called to preach shortly thereafter.

At the tender age of fifteen their  was no doubt that the anointing was on his life.

A man of great vision and insight, Dr. Dalton began humbly in Eden,  NC.  Dr. Dalton was devoted to helping people even at an early age.  Often times he would go lacking, so others could have.  For example, in 1984, he was called to pastor in his home town, even though he had a chance to play professional football.  To Dr. Dalton his desire to help his family and especially his mother, that meant more than any amount of money he had the potential to make.

Dr. Dalton started his church in a double wide trailer and had only his wife, his children and his mother.  The ministry eventually out grew the double wide, and the church was forced to move into a storefront building.  However, the ultimate dream was to build a church, a life long dream of his father and mother.  On May 11th , 1993 that dream came to life, and mother; Annie Bell Dalton was able to realize her dream.  Although Loyce Dalton died in 1976, Dr. Dalton felt his father was right there, as the church doors were open for the first time.  Later on that year mother; Annie Bell Dalton went on to be with the Lord.

After the death of his mother, Dr. Dalton decided to continue his education, with a B.A. in Industrial Education from the West Virginia Institute of Technology. He then pursued a Master￿s degree in history from North Carolina A&T State University, in Greensboro, NC. In 1998 he earned his Doctorate of Divinity from Bethlehem Bible College followed in 2000 with his Doctorate of Theology, also from Bethlehem Bible College. With a thirst for learning and deep respect for education Dr. Dalton pursued and earned his second Master's Degree in School Administration from North Carolina A&T State University on May 8, 2010.  God blessed and he was able to receive these numerous degrees and continue the pastorate.

In August 1996, Dr. Dalton was offered a teaching position at a high school in Ridgeway, VA.  Dr. Dalton decided it was time to move, so he and his family moved and was convicted to relinquish the church God had blessed him to build.  Fortunately, by the grace of God, he was offered another church.  At the time he was called the church had only about forty members, but since his calling the church has grown to over two hundred members.

Dr. Dalton is the past Senior pastor at the Peaceful Zion Full Gospel Baptist Church in Martinsville, Virginia.   He has also served as the State Director for the Pastor￿s Division for the Full Gospel Baptist Church Fellowship of Virginia under the direction of our presiding Bishop, Bishop Paul S. Morton.  He was selected as District Overseer  for  Southwest Virginia. Dr. Roy Dalton has taught History at Magna Vista High School in Ridgeway, VA, Lincoln Middle School in Greensboro, NC, Northeast Guilford High School in Greensboro, NC and Martinsville Middle School in Martinsville, VA. He is currently teaching US Government and US History at Langston Focus School in Danville, VA. Dr. Dalton has be selected as the 2012-2013 Teacher of the Year for Langston Focus School and  Secondary Educator of the Year for Danville City Public Schools.

Dr. Dalton is now the pastor of a new and vibrant ministry in Bassett, VA - Full Gospel Holy Church. He is prayerful that the Lord will bless his new endeavors there as he serves God - building His Kingdom one soul at a time.

Dr. Dalton is married to First Lady Teresa Dalton and they are blessed with four children, Mea, Teresa, Ciearra, and Roy II.
